how can we make it better?

Great video by Apple summarizing all the new features of iOS. Some of them definitely inspired by other OSes but definitely needed. I can’t wait till I get my hands on iOS 5.

My list of top features in decreasing order of importance.

  • Automatic background syncing with iTunes when connected to wifi and a power source
  • Truly post PC - no need to have a PC as a host
  • Reminders - especially those based on location
  • Notification drawer - similar to Android 
  • Notifications on the lock screen
  • split keyboard
  • hardware camera button
  • iMessage - send messages to other iOS users
  • airplay mirroring in iPad2 with a TV
  • tabbed Safari in iPad
  • Systemwide Twitter integration
  • photo manipulation
  • Newsstand
  • Reader list - like instapaper
